But how much Aloe Vera juice to drink daily really depends on what type of drinkable Aloe product is being used. You will want to make sure you are taking in enough to experience the full benefits of this incredible superfood!


Premium Aloe Vera supplements are typically made from the inner gel, a clear, thin, gelatinous substance scooped out from the center of the Aloe leaf. Theinner Aloe gel is different from the whole leaf in terms of consumption, as the pure gel is the part of the plant that is completely safe and edible. It is nearly devoid ofaloin, the anthraquinone glycoside, which has been the source of much attention in studies. Too much aloin from any source can cause diarrhea, bowel inflammation, and dehydration.

Read the label - you should only purchase pure Aloe Vera beverages that are made from the gel and do not contain potentially dangerous aloin.


It is important to note that pure Aloe Vera iscompletely safe to consume in any amount and everyday, so long as you avoid the aloin found in the skin of the whole leaf. In other words, it is very difficult to drink too much of any Aloe product that is properly prepared and processed.

That being said, the recommended daily dosage will depend on what type of Aloe product you are using:


Aloe Vera extracts or juices are processed from the pure inner gel to concentrate the beneficial compounds and create a drinkable liquid that mixes easily into other beverages. Because of their concentration, the rule of thumb for Aloe extracts is usually to take2 oz. twice daily (4 oz. per day total).

Aloe Vera Water is essentially pure inner aloe gel that is processed and diluted with water to make a delicious and healthy beverage (may or may not contain pulp). There is no limit to how much Aloe water one should drink, but to experience the full benefits of Aloe, at leastone full bottle (16 oz. per day) should be consumed.
